RODEO AUSTIN

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP

Rodeo Austin is a non profit organization that I got the privilege of working with and designing for throughout my time there. I did most of my design work in InDesgin, Photoshop, and Illustrator and created a wide variety of different designs ranging from social media posts, to 16 foot billboard banners, to concert posters, as well as big screen graphics for the arena slideshow during the rodeo performance.

I was tasked with refreshing the previous years big screen graphics so I breathed new life into them with 7 template designs. From there we went through several iterations of feedback and edits for the template. Once that was approved I built out 60 total slides for the show and once again went through the feedback iterations process until they were primed for the rodeo production.

Throughout the Rodeo’s 15 nights roughly 90,000 spectators came through the arena and the live TV broadcast, Cowboy Channel, featured these slides and gathered around 1 million views.

These are 2 of the 4 16ft by 8ft banners designed with photoshop and displayed outsdide the rodeo arena.

My role within this production was graphic design intern in which I was tasked with assisting the full time graphic designer. In doing so I took on many independent projects from start to finish, completing work for the rodeo production and other fundraising events throughout my time there.

Concert posters made for the opening day of the rodeo that were handed out at Rodeo Austin’s Cowboy Breakfast, which was a large marketing event for the rodeo.
